David Weiss has been the General Manager for HVAC Solutions since its inception in January, 2003. David has been with the parent company TEC, since 1989 and started in the controls department introducing VVT systems to our customer base. He has been thoroughly involved in most phases of the company’s business – Commercial sales, Residential sales, Industrial sales, Residential trainer for Leadership Development, Plan & Spec, and Design/Build. He has been directly responsible for brokering partnerships as agent, distributor, or wholesaler with each vendor listed on HVAC Solutions line card, developing business strategies, developing marketing concepts for the group, as well as managing the cracker jack staff of Product Managers (see bios below). He also created and started TEC’s Inside Engineering group. David has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, with a minor in Nuclear Engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Roosevelt University in Chicago. Stacy Gualandi, LEED AP, is a Product Manager at HVAC Solutions, a TEC company. Stacy has been with TEC since 2005 when she started as a sales engineer. She is experienced with heat pump systems (geothermal and variable refrigerant flow), energy recovery ventilators (ERVs), make-up air units, and other commercial equipment. Bill Bailey is a Product Manager at HVAC Solutions, a TEC company. Bill has been with HVAC Solutions since 2004, and has worked exclusively in the hydronic systems business since 1984. Bill has worked as a manufacturer’s rep, a distributor, and a contractor. His current activities include working with engineers, contractors, and building owners to upgrade and design new hydronic systems with energy efficiency in mind. Greg Joutras is a Product Manager at HVAC Solutions, a TEC company. Greg joined the HVAC Solutions team in mid 2009 after working for a HVAC manufacturer. He has a background in residential indoor air quality, humidifiers, filtration, and controls. Greg is responsible for most of our residential airside product lines, such as duct-free splits, generators, room air conditioners, and IAQ equipment. His current activities include working with A/C dealers, building owners, and light commercial contractors to match customer needs, with thousands of SKUs of equipment and systems! Mike Garren is a Product Manager with HVAC Solutions, a TEC Company. Mike joined the HVAC Solutions team in 2008, and has been involved in the HVAC business since starting with a Chicagoland wholesaler in 1978. He has lengthy experience with residential & commercial heating systems, but specializes in Hydronics and has had advanced factory training with several manufacturers. Working most of his career in Chicago's south side, he is heavily involved with both hot water, and steam heating systems. Mike is also well versed in commercial water heating sizing.
